Custom Architectural Cabinetry Craftsman

About This Role

Craft custom architectural millwork and casework for commercial clients by translating shop drawings into finished products, ensuring high-quality and precise construction.

Responsibilities

• Translate detailed shop drawings into custom cabinets and specialty components
• Run woodworking machines and hand tools with precision and consistency
• Perform laminating, edge-banding, and assembly using dowels, screws, glue, and fasteners
• Inspect each stage for accuracy, fit, and finish to meet company expectations
• Work with engineers, supervisors, and installers to solve fabrication challenges
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workspace while following safety policies

Requirements

• At least 3 years in architectural millwork or custom cabinetmaking
• Solid understanding of wood species, laminates, veneers, and hardware selection
• Confident reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
• Hands-on skill with common woodworking tools, shop equipment, and machinery
• Dedication to detail, strong work ethic, and pride in craft
• Ability to work independently and within a team

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in architectural millwork or custom cabinetmaking

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with AWI standards
