Custodial Lead

About This Role

Lead and coordinate facility cleaning and upkeep for Lynden Door Inc.'s campus, working hands-on with a team to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment during the swing shift.

Responsibilities

• Support daily cleaning operations for restrooms, lunchrooms, offices, tour areas, and common spaces
• Provide leadership and direction to the swing shift cleaning team
• Watch for safety hazards and communicate concerns promptly
• Train team members and help maintain consistent cleaning standards
• Conduct one-on-one check-ins and support employee development
• Coordinate restocking and management of cleaning, office, and lunchroom supplies
• Support company events by helping plan cleaning coverage and labor needs
• Oversee use and basic upkeep of floor scrubbers and cleaning equipment
• Maintain and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
• Communicate regularly with leadership, including daily shift updates
• Perform cleaning and facility work alongside the team as needed

• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive and solution-oriented
• Basic computer skills (email, Word, Excel)
• Ability to use cleaning equipment and carts safely

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in facilities, custodial, manufacturing, or warehouse environments preferred. Prior leadership or lead experience is a plus.

• Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish)
