Culinary/Dietary Aide

About This Role

Serve nutritious meals to residents and guests in a senior living community, ensuring an enjoyable dining experience. Perform designated dietary department work and cleaning routines.

Responsibilities

• Help create a restaurant-style dining experience through serving meals, customer service, and collaboration
• Follow written and oral instructions, diet orders/tray cards, and work assignments
• Ensure meal orders are delivered accurately, noting and following special requests or dietary restrictions
• Perform defined work routines
• Assist with cleaning routines after meals and setting up for the next meal
• Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures and maintain a clean and safe environment
• Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies as directed by the Culinary Director
• Attend scheduled department meetings and educational programs
• Follow defined safety codes while performing duties and infection control procedures
• Understand community’s fire and disaster plans; follow established procedures during drills and actual emergencies
• Be knowledgeable of federal, state, and community’s rules, regulations, policies and procedures
