Corporate Banking Summer Analyst - Trading Credit

Join the Corporate Banking team as a Summer Analyst, focusing on Trading Credit within CIBC's non-bank financial institutions sector. This role involves financial and credit analysis, industry research, and assisting with credit approval processes for a large client portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth company, industry, and portfolio analysis to support credit relationships
• Provide sound, timely, and well-communicated recommendations for credit facilities
• Run financial models focused on credit analysis and risk rating evaluation
• Assist in the preparation of Annual Reviews and new accounts
• Actively participate in trading documentation negotiations and ongoing management of the Trading Credit Portfolio
• Provide a broad range of support including financial statement analysis and credit analysis

Requirements

• Enrolled in an undergraduate degree in a business-related discipline (Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or related)
• Expected graduation date of December 2027 – June 2028
• Proficient in MS-office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Legally eligible to work in New York, NY for the duration of the term

Qualifications

• Demonstrated interest in Capital Markets and financial services industry through school courses, clubs, and/or related work experience.
