About This Role

This role involves working with clients to provide impactful media relations, corporate communications, and issues management support within a global Corporate Affairs and Marketing firm. The position focuses on defining and developing creative solutions to reputation and influence challenges.

Responsibilities

• Serve on client teams providing impactful media relations, corporate communications and issues management support
• Define and develop creative solutions to reputation and influence challenges
• Lead and work as a part of focused, high-performing team

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in media relations and communication
• Proven media relations capabilities in Southeast Michigan
• Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Project management skills
• Commitment to excellence and problem-solving skills
• Initiative, creativity and curiosity
• Ability to handle tight deadlines

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Political Science, Law, International Relations, or related fields
• 5+ years of experience in media relations and communication, ideally in an agency or corporate environment
