Coordinator of Youth Ministry

About This Role

This role involves leading, designing, implementing, and evaluating parish ministry programs for junior and high school students, aiming to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and engage them more fully in the Catholic faith.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary leadership for the design, implementation, and evaluation of parish ministry to junior and high school students
• Help young people enter more fully into the life of the parish community
• Assist young people in accompanying and serving others, especially those most in need
• Build a core team of volunteers and foster a student leadership team
• Implement a multidimensional and holistic student ministry program
• Assist with the Confirmation program for young people in the parish
• Accompany other pastoral ministries in the parish as needed
• Recruit and train adult volunteers
• Perform administrative tasks
• Collaborate with parish ministries and programs, including liturgy, Ignatian Spirituality, and social justice

Requirements

• Practicing Catholic and active member of a Roman Catholic parish faith community
• Bachelor's degree (preferably in theology or related field, or with experience in campus or youth ministry)
• Organizational skills
• Technological skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Experience working with junior high and/or high school students

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree, preferably in theology or related field, or a bachelor’s degree with experience in campus ministry or youth ministry
• Experience working with junior high and/or high school students is essential.
