About This Role

This role supports a leading U.S.-based law firm in identifying and evaluating potential conflicts of interest and client risk issues for new matters. The Conflicts Analyst ensures the accuracy and integrity of data and produces research summaries for conflicts attorneys and firm leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preliminary conflicts research for new business matters using internal and external databases
  • Prepare conflicts and risk summaries for review by Conflicts Staff Attorneys and requesting attorneys
  • Perform client due diligence, including reviews related to regulatory, AML, and risk considerations
  • Serve as an initial reviewer during the intake process, ensuring information is complete, standardized, and accurate
  • Support conflicts and compliance workflows across U.S. offices, with occasional international considerations
  • Manage multiple research requests in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a research, analytical, compliance, or legal support role
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgment
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under time pressure
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional discretion and comfort handling confidential information
  • Collaborative mindset and team-oriented approach

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a research, analytical, compliance, or legal support role

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a law firm, professional services, regulatory, academic, or similar environment
  • Experience with conflicts clearance or compliance in a large law firm
  • Familiarity with client due diligence, AML, or KYC-related work
  • Experience with database or corporate research tools
  • Experience with conflicts search or risk management systems
  • Exposure to AML or regulatory screening, including international considerations
