About This Role

Manage a sales territory covering South Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi for Adhesives Technology, driving product demand and providing technical support for concrete adhesive products to distribution accounts, contractors, and engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a call cycle/time and territory management system to support distribution partners
  • Develop rapport with distribution accounts by building relationships based on trust and added value
  • Work with contractors to create and drive product demand using a pull-through strategy for distribution accounts
  • Present products and services to Structural and Civil engineers to generate specifications and provide technical support
  • Conduct hands-on product training with distribution staff, local engineers and contractors
  • Daily prospecting for new distribution and contractor business
  • Continually strive to improve margins by changing product and customer mix
  • Professionally manage customer complaints and issues to deliver a high level of service
  • Maintain daily CRM detailing daily efforts
  • Prospect and close sales leads to generate revenue and help develop, implement, and evaluate the sales strategy

Requirements

  • Positive, self-starter with a hunter's mentality
  • Ability to work effectively, independently without constant supervision
  • Experience generating and maintaining relationships with sales leads
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel overnight throughout the territory by vehicle with some flying required
  • Working knowledge/understanding of concrete as a building material OR understanding of construction adhesives chemistries (two-part epoxies, acrylics, urethanes, polyureas) OR experience with building supply distribution channels in the defined territory

Qualifications

  • College degree with 3-4 years related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and infrastructure/sales field experience
  • 3-4 years related experience in sales or infrastructure/sales field experience
