The Compliance, Quality Improvement, & Accreditation Coordinator ensures staff training, manages the Therap database, and maintains agency adherence to regulatory policies for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with ensuring staff are adequately trained to provide consistent, timely, and accurate documentation in compliance with state agencies
- Monitor aspects of the Therap database in accordance with agency policies and external regulations
- Ensure users have appropriate access and knowledge of Therap to capture comprehensive records
- Proactively review and analyze all relevant state and federal statutes and regulations to monitor changes
- Communicate regulatory changes to relevant staff within the organization
- Submit all required reporting for the agency in a timely manner
- Assist in the implementation of audit processes to ensure compliance with federal and state statutes and regulations
- Conduct audits, analyze information, identify deficiencies, develop reports, and formulate recommendations for corrective action
- Inform the Chief Compliance and Quality Improvement Officer of situations of non-compliance
- Work with department directors and managers to implement corrective action plans and monitor progress
- Respond in a timely fashion to external requests for information and audit requests
- Review all General Event Reports and request further information and notifications as needed
- Submit Unusual Incident Reports to ORM Unit in a timely manner with accurate, complete, and thorough details
- Submit Follow up Unusual Incident Reports to DDD
- Assist the Compliance and Quality Improvement Director with completing and submitting investigation reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Proficient in the use of Therap
- Knowledge of NJ Community Care and Supports Program
