Complex GM of Poultry Operations

About This Role

Oversee and coordinate complex poultry operations to produce quality products in a safe and timely manner, meeting customer needs and maintaining profitability. Lead teams to achieve operational metrics and deliver exceptional quality and service.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate overall operations for the Complex.
• Ensure objectives are achieved at the lowest cost consistent with quality requirements.
• Delegate authority to key supervisors in production, production control, methods, cost accounting, maintenance, and related operations.
• Direct production and ensures cost effectiveness and consistency with prescribed quality, accuracy, and performance standards.
• Maintain plant property and equipment in good condition to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and to ensure effective and economical operations.
• Prepare and submit operating reports to management to inform them of the current production status and to make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Assure effective customer service and relations through timely delivery of quality product.
• Select, train, develop, and motivate manufacturing staff to maintain plant operation.
• Assure compliance of all plant operations with company policy and federal, state, and local regulations.
• Set production and processing goals for Live Production and Plant Processing.
• Coordinate production units to achieve company-wide and individual complex goals with a minimum amount of waste or rework.
• Establish complex objectives and identify the requirements to meet production needs.
• Provide direction and assist in the development of managers that can be promoted to higher levels of responsibility.
• Evaluate various capital projects submitted by management to determine their feasibility.
• Approve all new hires and oversee personnel salaries and wages.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of directly related experience in a poultry processing plant
• Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent directly related work experience

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a related field or directly related work experience on a year-for-year basis
• Minimum of 7 years of DIRECTLY RELATED experience in a poultry processing plant.
