Lead the implementation of the Community Schools strategy at an assigned school, focusing on racial and economic equity, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop and manage programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of the Community Schools strategy at the assigned school
- Facilitate the development of the school's asset map and needs assessment, engaging the community in ongoing assessment
- Facilitate monthly Site Leadership team meetings with administration, school staff, parents, students, and community partners
- Guide the Site Leadership Team to create and implement an action plan aligned with community school goals
- Create and oversee implementation of programs and services by facilitating agreements with partners based on data-driven information and school needs
- Maintain participation, attendance records, and other appropriate records
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of after-school clubs
- Work cooperatively with the school principal to adapt the Community Schools strategy to meet school community needs and district academic goals
- Coordinate and manage community partnerships and resources in accordance with the Community School Site Plan
- Facilitate communication and relationship-building with community partners, stakeholders, children, families, and volunteers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum two years of relevant experience
- Three years of experience working directly with children and families with a variety of abilities and needs
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- CPR/AED and First Aid training within 30 days of start date
- Child Abuse Prevention and Bloodborne Pathogens training within 60 days of the start date
- Ability to effectively interact with, lead, and motivate children, families, and volunteers
- Demonstrate initiative, strong leadership skills
- Knowledge of general child growth and development, learning theories, and developmentally appropriate activities for children
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage tasks without direct supervision
- Ability to work nights and weekends as programming requires
- High level of computer proficiency including email, word processing, internet search engines, and spreadsheet software
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum two years of relevant experience, and three years working directly with children and families with diverse abilities and needs
Nice to Have
- Experience with facilitation
- Experience with data analysis
- Experience with grant writing
- Experience using outcomes in program development, operation, or evaluation
