Commissioning Intern

About This Role

Join our team as a Commissioning Intern to gain real-world experience ensuring HVAC/Hydronic and building automation systems perform as designed. You will learn to tackle day-to-day challenges of a commissioning technician, working alongside engineers, architects, and industry professionals.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction documents and materials
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely and logical manner following schedules provided by project management team
• Test, start, and document systems at client location while coordinating with contractors, internal team members, and customers
• Work within a building automation system (BAS)
• Attend meetings and provide input to coordinate and complete assigned tasks
• Potentially lead small projects under the direction and supervision of a supervisor
• Attend weekly classes and watch training videos
• Work alongside and learn from professionals in parallel disciplines
• Work with project teams spanning several of our offices across the nation
• Visit construction sites with project leaders (dependent upon project phase and time of year)

Requirements

• Completion of 3+ years of an A&E related undergraduate program
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, Bluebeam
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and adapt
• Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with other team members
• A passion for client-focused design
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

• Completion of 3+ years of an A&E related undergraduate program
