This role involves managing all commercial and financial aspects through the sales and bidding process for various business deals, including sub-station projects, LTSA, O&M contracts, and small orders. The manager will be responsible for preparing and negotiating commercial terms, and leading process improvements in the sales phase.
Responsibilities
- Analyze customer requirements, evaluation methods and criteria to develop winning strategies alongside the Sales Manager
- Define business models based on business, customer, and tax regulations
- Handle all commercial aspects of bids, including contract analysis, cost calculation, financing concepts, currency and hedging, risks and opportunities, bonds, terms of payment, credit rating, insurances, export control, and compliance
- Manage relationships with external project collaborators, customers, and consortium partners, and participate in negotiations of terms and conditions
- Prepare and present Limits of Authority (LoA) according to protocol, acting as a sparring partner for regions and bid team members
- Apply a hands-on approach to manage the full scope of financial and commercial activities during the sales phase
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration/ management, Finance, Accounting or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in similar capacity
- Analytical thinking, result and quality-oriented approach, solid professional judgment and problem-solving ability
- Ability to conceptualize & socialize ideas, make recommendations and gather team consensus
- Thorough understanding of GAAP and IFRS
- SAP knowledge
- Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical skills
- Legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration/ management, Finance, Accounting or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in similar capacity.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge in business analytics tools (Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau or similar)
- Experience and curiosity about leveraging Artificial Intelligence to address business needs
