Commercial Litigation Associate

About This Role

Join Dentons' nationally recognized Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice as a mid-level associate, focusing on complex litigation, insurance coverage, and dispute analysis for a diverse client base.

Responsibilities

• Draft complex case evaluations, pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
• Handle all aspects of litigation from inception through trial and appeal
• Conduct legal research and draft analytical memoranda
• Manage written discovery, document review, and depositions
• Work directly with clients, witnesses, experts, and other counsel
• Analyze insurance coverage and extra-contractual disputes, including drafting coverage opinions and related analyses

Requirements

• 4-6 years of complex litigation experience
• Exceptional writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Dedicated and goal-oriented, with a strong work ethic
• Superior organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, adversaries, and courts
• Strong commitment to client service and responsiveness
• Genuine interest in emerging risks in insurance and environmental and products liability underlying litigation
• Strong writing, case management, client-facing, and oral advocacy skills
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state where the hired candidate will be practicing

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of complex litigation experience

Nice to Have

• Experience with insurance coverage litigation
• Federal District Court or Appellate clerkship
