Manage an assigned book of commercial lines business to ensure account retention and support new business development. This role involves resolving complex customer service issues and ensuring accuracy in all transactions. Supports newly onboarded producers for an initial period as part of a service team.
Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business
- Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities
- Resolve complex issues and ensure no errors or omissions in transactions
- Maintain technical competence and industry expertise in commercial insurance
- Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis
- Manage policy expirations and renewals, conducting client research and preparing submissions
- Monitor accounts receivable reports and take action on delinquent accounts, collecting outstanding balances
- Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy
- Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team regarding workload status and issues
Requirements
- 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry
- Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
- Active property & casualty licensing
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry
