This Glazier role focuses on the safe and successful installation of various glass and aluminum systems for commercial construction projects across southeast Michigan, working primarily on-site.
Responsibilities
- Install glass and other glazing materials.
- Install storefront aluminum frames and doors.
- Install hardware and other associated materials.
- Install mirrors.
- Measure openings and glass sizes.
- Cut and remove broken glass before installing replacements.
- Abide by site safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
Requirements
- Ability to work successfully with a team as well as independently
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple work assignments
- Ability to lift heavy material as well as work at heights of 3ft or more (regularly lift and/or move 30-100 lbs daily)
- Ability to travel depending on project locations
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years in Residential or Commercial Glazing/Shop Experience
- Valid driver’s US license
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years in Residential or Commercial Glazing/Shop Experience, or 4-8 years of Commercial glazing preferred.
Nice to Have
- Ability to read construction drawings
- 4-8 years of Commercial glazing
- Carpentry or other similar trade experience
