Commercial Glazier

About This Role

This Glazier role focuses on the safe and successful installation of various glass and aluminum systems for commercial construction projects across southeast Michigan, working primarily on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install glass and other glazing materials.
• Install storefront aluminum frames and doors.
• Install hardware and other associated materials.
• Install mirrors.
• Measure openings and glass sizes.
• Cut and remove broken glass before installing replacements.
• Abide by site safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.

Requirements

• Ability to work successfully with a team as well as independently
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple work assignments
• Ability to lift heavy material as well as work at heights of 3ft or more (regularly lift and/or move 30-100 lbs daily)
• Ability to travel depending on project locations
• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-3 years in Residential or Commercial Glazing/Shop Experience
• Valid driver’s US license

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-3 years in Residential or Commercial Glazing/Shop Experience, or 4-8 years of Commercial glazing preferred.

Nice to Have

• Ability to read construction drawings
• 4-8 years of Commercial glazing
• Carpentry or other similar trade experience
