This role involves providing exceptional customer service and support as a Commercial Driver, delivering pipe, valves, fittings, tanks, and industrial supplies to customers in an efficient and cost-effective manner. It supports Monumental Supply Company's mission to deliver critical materials and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Operate company-owned vehicles for the delivery, pickup, and relocation of company products and materials
- Operate a Moffett or Piggy-Back forklift
- Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment to ensure proper working condition
- Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles
- Load and unload trucks, vans, or automobiles
- Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers
- Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, per regulations
- Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to dispatch via telephone
- Check delivery tickets for accuracy and thoroughness
- Perform warehouse duties when not delivering, such as loading, unloading, picking material, general maintenance
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- 3+ years’ experience as a commercial delivery driver
- Valid Class A CDL license
- Registered with the Clearinghouse
- Computer literate; Proficient with MS Office 365
- Ability to effectively communicate [written and verbal]
- Ability to pass DOT Medical Card screen, background check, MVR check, and DOT drug test
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years’ experience as a commercial delivery driver
