Collections Manager

About This Role

This role involves leading the Collections Department, providing operational oversight and strategic guidance to ensure efficiency, compliance, and member satisfaction for First Community Credit Union.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of the Collections department, providing clear guidance, coaching, and support
• Prepare accurate monthly Board and portfolio reports, delivering key insights on delinquency trends, charge-offs, and overall loan performance
• Monitor and service the loan portfolio, engaging with delinquent members professionally, evaluating financial situations, and recommending appropriate actions
• Drive operational improvements by supporting new product, software, and process implementations
• Develop and support staff, overseeing workload planning, training, performance management, and communication

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field OR 4 years relevant work experience
• Experience in a financial institution or transferable experience in a complementary business
• Supervisory or leadership experience, including the ability to motivate others and lead change
• Demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise, and well-structured written materials
• Ability to communicate, both written and verbal
• Detail-oriented

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field from an accredited college or university
• 4 years relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree
