CNC OD/ID Grinder/Machinist

About This Role

Set up and operate CNC Lathe Machines, Mill/Turn Machines, and OD/ID Grinders, along with completing necessary paperwork and documenting nonconforming material. Utilize work instructions and gauging equipment to ensure parts conform to engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Lathe Machines, CNC Mill/Turn Machines, and CNC OD/ID Grinders
• Complete paperwork while adhering to record retention requirements
• Document nonconforming material according to procedures and participate in root cause/corrective actions
• Utilize work instructions, set-up sheets, and method documents to operate machines and inspect machined parts
• Utilize various gauging equipment to ensure conformance to engineering specifications and standards
• Obtain certifications as necessary for required processes

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to operate and set up CNC equipment
• Knowledge of CNC programming/machining (read, understand, edit basic programs)
• Basic knowledge of grinding, turning, milling, drilling skills (Machinist I)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 0-2 years' experience in related work or applicable degree for Machinist I; 2-5 years' experience for Machinist II

Nice to Have

• Intermediate ability to read, interpret, and use drawings, diagrams, and blueprints (Machinist II)
• Intermediate knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (Machinist II)
• Ability to define, diagnose, and resolve problems (Machinist II)
