CNC Machinist

About This Role

Operate industrial devices, primarily CNC machines, to manufacture parts from aluminum and titanium, ensuring quality and safety standards while maintaining equipment and records.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as CNC machines, milling machines, and end mills to produce manufactured parts primarily out of aluminum and titanium
• Take measurements to adequately ensure accurate set-up with gauges, calipers, indicators, and micrometers
• Maintain specifications by observing drilling and cutting, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, and adjusting controls
• Replace worn tools and adhere to quality assurance procedures
• Set up and troubleshoot 5-axis machines for large complex parts

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of progressively responsible milling experience
• Basic math and geometry knowledge
• Ability to read blueprints and follow work order/verbal instructions
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or protected individual as defined by ITAR

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum 1 year of progressively responsible milling experience

Nice to Have

• Certification from an accredited technical college
• Aerospace industry experience
• Elementary knowledge of engineering principals
