The CNC Machinist III will be responsible for the setup and operation of CNC Mill and Lathe machines for manufacturing and fabricating aircraft/military components, focusing on safety and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Focus strongly on safety
- Operate 5-axis machines with
- lights out machining
- capabilities including probing and break detection
- Utilize knowledge of fixturing and tooling design
- Edit in MDI, preferably with Mazak, Okuma, Fanuc, Siemens controllers
- Set up tools and prove out CNC programs
- Accurately record labor hours and production quantity using ERP system
- Suggest recommendations to Leads/Supervisor concerning process improvements
- Perform standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, speeds and feeds of machining
- Perform routine daily maintenance and housekeeping duties
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in CNC Machining 3-4-5 axis
- Highschool Diploma or G.E.D equivalent
- Ability to use inspection instruments
- Blueprint reading
- Ability to speak/read/write English
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds to chest level and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds over the head
Qualifications
- Highschool Diploma or G.E.D equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in CNC Machining 3-4-5 axis
