As a Clinician II, you will develop recovery service plans and provide therapeutic counseling to engage individuals on their recovery journey. This role focuses on assessing needs, identifying challenges, and facilitating goal development in the treatment and recovery process.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the mental health professional for individuals until they are enrolled in services at another community agency
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and treatment plans
- Assess individual needs and provide appropriate support and referral
- Provide short- and long-term recovery-oriented therapeutic counseling and education on a group or individual basis
- Provide family education and family counseling
- Facilitate recovery education courses
- Determine a provisional diagnosis, obtain documentation of medical necessity, and submit authorizations for service in a timely fashion
- Complete clinical documentation as required
- Complete Incident Reports according to policy
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field
- Associate Licensure in good standing in an applicable Behavioral Health field
- Minimum of one (1) year of behavioral health experience
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Excellent documentation skills
- Ability to pay close attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve
- Effective listening skills
- Ability to pass de-escalation training
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of one (1) year of behavioral health experience required.
