About This Role

This Clinical Liaison role involves educating patients and families about medical rehabilitation, assessing patients for care needs, and coordinating transfers to the hospital. The position focuses on building relationships with acute care hospital staff to increase referrals and admissions.

Responsibilities

  • Assume a leadership role developing and nurturing professional relationships with case managers, physicians, and clinicians in acute care hospitals
  • Educate staff, patients, and families regarding rehabilitation services provided by the rehabilitation hospital
  • Assess patients with rehab diagnosis on-site at referring hospitals for admission to the rehab hospital
  • Manage the referral process
  • Create target lists of contacts and decision makers in assigned hospitals
  • Develop relationships, provide excellent customer service and educate referral sources on services provided by the hospital
  • Educate potential patients and families on acute rehabilitation and benefits of specific programs
  • Support Sales and Marketing through educational programs, tours, and meetings in assigned hospitals
  • Develop strategies to grow market share in core business lines in assigned hospitals

Requirements

  • Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Registered Nurse, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist
  • Multi-state licensure based on geographical territory

Qualifications

  • Two years related experience working in a clinical healthcare setting or previous experience working in a clinical liaison role preferred

Nice to Have

  • Two years related experience working in a clinical healthcare setting or previous experience working in a clinical liaison role
  • Demonstrated competency with the preadmission process including assessments and relationship building in a rehabilitation setting or in another post-acute care setting
  • Proven track record in sales and marketing with at least one year experience in a related position
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency
