Clinical Concierge (LVN-Cert Medical Assistant)

About This Role

This role involves registering patients, collecting payments, assisting providers with patient care and treatment, and managing discharge and follow-up processes. The Clinical Concierge will companion patients and their guests through their entire urgent care experience to maximize clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Register patients
• Collect payments
• Room patients and assist the provider with care and treatment
• Discharge patients and conduct follow-up
• Companion patients and their "secondary guests" through the entire experience
• Perform a variety of clinical functions within a clinical setting, utilizing discretion, good judgment, diplomacy, and decision-making
• Act as a patient advocate, maintaining continuous contact with providers, patients, patient families/significant others, community agencies, and patient care staff and management

Requirements

• Knowledge of urgent care medical specialty
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of electronic medical record (preferably Epic)
• Basic computer/email skills

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Vocational Nurse or Medical Assistant education program or 2 years of equivalent work experience
• Entry-level position, 1 year of experience as an LVN, medical assistant, or equivalent is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Ability to perform phlebotomy
• Ability to administer injections
• 1 year of experience as an LVN, medical assistant, or equivalent
• Previous experience with an electronic health record and phlebotomy
