About This Role

The Clinical Care Associate provides essential nursing assistance and patient care, ensuring comfort, safety, and personal needs for patients. This role involves working within a multidisciplinary patient care team and performing clerical and reception duties.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing assistance and patient care for comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living
  • Perform procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients
  • Work within a unit-based, self-directed, multidisciplinary patient care team
  • Share various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed team members
  • Perform general clerical and reception duties according to unit or department needs
  • Prepare and maintain patient charts
  • Transcribe physician orders
  • Enter information into computerized patient care system

Requirements

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Georgia Registry OR Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) OR Registered Medical Assistant (AMT) OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (NHA)
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Patient Care Technician/Clinical Care Associate
  • Six (6) months of experience as a Patient Care Technician/Clinical Care Associate at Northside

Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of experience as a Patient Care Technician/Clinical Care Associate, with six (6) months experience at Northside.

Nice to Have

  • Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units

Certifications

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry (Required) Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) (Required) Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) (Required) Certified Clinical Medical Associate awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) (Required)
