The Clinic CMA supports high-quality, patient-centered care in medical and behavioral health settings by assisting providers and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient/client flow. This role performs routine administrative and clinical tasks to ensure positive care experiences for patients at the Family Health Center.
Responsibilities
- Prepare exam rooms and patients for provider visits, procedures, and treatments
- Obtain and review medical histories, medications, vital signs, and other health information
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Administer medications as directed by licensed providers, in accordance with scope of practice
- Perform basic laboratory tests
- Accurately document all patient interactions in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations and medication calls as needed
- Maintain neat and clean work and storage areas, specifically supplies
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited program
- Valid driver's license
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in primary care, mental health, or integrated healthcare setting preferred.
