The Client Accounting Specialist will support accurate reconciliation processes, ensure data integrity, and strengthen operational efficiency within investment operations. This long-term contract role focuses on resolving discrepancies and coordinating with various internal and external teams.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cash and position reconciliations using tools such as Electra
- Investigate and resolve cash and position breaks to maintain precise client account records
- Coordinate closely with custodians, Portfolio Management, Fund Treasury, and Settlements teams to address discrepancies and operational exceptions
- Prepare and review monthly reconciled position reports and support month-end holdings sign-off
- Assist with audit requests, including documentation for internal controls and SSAE-16 testing
- Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to system enhancements and automation initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in investment operations or client accounting
- Strong understanding of reconciliation and investment accounting principles
- Hands-on experience with Electra
- Excellent Excel skills
- Strong communication abilities
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in investment operations or client accounting
