About This Role

Operate company-owned and leased semi-tractor trailers to transport and deliver products, materials, or equipment. This role involves performing inspections, verifying loads, and maintaining logs according to regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections of truck, trailer, equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water
• Drive truck into position to load or unload
• Verify load against shipping papers
• Drive truck to destination
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations
• Prepare receipts for load picked up
• Collect payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges when directed
• Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations
• Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions
