About This Role

This role is vital for maintaining smooth office operations and managing the complete lifecycle of Workers' Compensation, General Liability, and Automotive claims across the organization. It provides essential administrative and claims support to branch teams, ensuring timely, accurate, and reliable service while strengthening NearU's safety culture. This role directly contributes to ensuring every employee goes home safe each day.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Human Resources to manage Workers' Compensation claims, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up
  • Own the full claims lifecycle for Workers' Compensation, Automotive, and General Liability claims
  • Lead monthly claims review calls independently to support claim resolution and expedite closures
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for branches, providing guidance on claims procedures and best practices
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, enhance consistency, and strengthen claims processes
  • Prepare and deliver weekly and quarterly claims reporting
  • Act as the first point of contact for employees, vendors, and visitors, providing professional customer service
  • Manage daily office operations, including mail handling, supply ordering, and vendor coordination
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including badge creation and coordination with HR and IT
  • Assist with the planning and execution of BSC and NearU-wide events and meetings

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in claims processing
  • 2+ years of experience in office administration or a related operational role
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional, service-oriented approach
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems, portals, and structured processes with accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in claims processing and 2+ years of experience in office administration or a related operational role

Nice to Have

  • Experience in worker's compensation claims and general liability
  • Experience in construction trades, insurance, safety, or compliance environments
  • Prior experience supporting distributed teams or multi-location operations
