The Claims Digital Product Management Director serves as the business unit authority for assigned digital products, ensuring long-term support for value streams and meeting user expectations. This role involves creating product roadmaps, facilitating prioritization, and managing the overall financial value and development of the product portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Serve as business unit authority and subject matter expert on assigned digital products
- Create and maintain strategic, high-level product roadmaps
- Facilitate critical conversations to drive the prioritization process and resource alignment
- Research insurance industry trends, technology advancements, and competitor actions to inform product strategies
- Manage total cost of ownership (TCO) for assigned digital products and track overall costs
- Drive complex product development efforts to ensure products generate desired benefits and support value streams
- Collaborate with Product Owners on product roadmap development and changes
- Provide guidance to define business/customer needs and execute product roadmaps
- Establish and measure KPIs and/or OKRs and monitor business outcomes to confirm expected benefits realization
- Build culture and develop team members, establish performance goals, and conduct performance reviews
Requirements
- 10+ years of product management or related experience
- Experience in product and service-based delivery environment
- Prior experience working with end users to develop customer-focused solutions
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
- Advanced understanding of the Scrum framework and Agile development techniques
- Excellent knowledge of workflow management and road mapping tools (JIRA, Aha, or ProductPlan)
- Advanced business knowledge in appropriate field
- Strong skills with Atlassian stack (Jira), MS Teams and/or similar collaboration tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Ten years of experience in product management or related experience, including working with end users to develop customer-focused solutions. Applicable insurance business area experience may substitute for some product management experience.
Nice to Have
- Advanced certification in the field of product ownership/management
