CIWT Lead IT Instructor

About This Role

The CIWT Lead IT Instructor will manage, instruct, and oversee IT instructors, ensuring they deliver certified content on IT-related topics to students. This role involves applying adult learning principles and ensuring students achieve required professional certifications and credentialing levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage IT Instructors providing subject matter expertise
• Conduct course instruction applying adult learning principles and blended learning approaches
• Provide oversight for training students to obtain and maintain professional IT certifications
• Provide in-depth instruction in appropriate levels of credentialing and professional certifications
• Ensure all students meet minimum required credentialing and certification levels
• Provide oral and/or written reports as required
• Adapt instructional methods based on analysis of individual student and group needs
• Use role-playing techniques and performance-based exercises to reinforce learning objectives

Requirements

• Navy certified Master Training Specialist
• 2 years teaching IT-related topics within the last 4 years
• Operational experience in CSWF (DoD Directive 8140 and SECNAV M-5239.2)
• MCT certification or Certified USN Instructor (NEC-805A)/other Service equivalent/Navy Master Training Specialist Designation/other Service equivalent/CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer
• Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in each Microsoft topic/exam for which they instruct
• CSWF foundation security, technical training, and minimum credential applicable to their CSWF position
• Cisco Certified Academic Instructor
• SECRET Security Clearance

Qualifications

• Two years teaching IT-related topics within the last four years, and operational experience in CSWF contained in DoD Directive 8140 and SECNAV M-5239.2.
