Civil Engineer - Land Development EIT

About This Role

This entry-level Project Engineer role supports the design and delivery of commercial land development projects. You will assist with site design, plan production, and coordination across project teams, learning from experienced professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with civil site design using Civil 3D, including grading, earthwork modeling, utilities, and stormwater systems
• Support the preparation of construction documents such as grading plans, erosion and sediment control plans, utility plans, and details
• Perform basic calculations related to stormwater management, utilities, and site layout under the guidance of senior engineers
• Collaborate with Project Managers, engineers, surveyors, and CAD staff to produce coordinated and accurate plan sets
• Review and utilize survey data, geotechnical reports, zoning requirements, and due-diligence materials
• Support permitting efforts and agency coordination with municipalities and other regulatory entities
• Assist with construction-phase services, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals, as needed
• Learn and apply company standards, quality control procedures, and best practices
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment that values communication, learning, and accountability

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• 0–2 years of experience in civil engineering (internships included)
• Exposure to or coursework using Civil 3D
• Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and grow professionally

• 0–2 years of experience in civil engineering, internships included

Nice to Have

• Experience with grading and site design
• Interest in commercial land development and site design
• Basic understanding of grading, utilities, stormwater management, and erosion control concepts
