Childcare Assistant Teacher

About This Role

Support the lead teacher in all classroom aspects, implementing activities that foster children's emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development. Maintain a clean and safe environment while building rapport with families.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom, consistent with the center's philosophy and goals
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and implement feedback for program quality improvement
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children
• Establish a professional rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children
• Work physically around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs
• Lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all other physical requirements of the role

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass all background checks
• Must be 18 years of age

• High school diploma or GED
