Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist

About This Role

Join a mission-driven, non-profit community mental health organization as a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist. Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and ongoing care for children, adolescents, and their families in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage a dedicated daily caseload (approx. 16 clients) through both in-person and telehealth visits
• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including 1-hour assessments, 30-minute appointments, and 15-minute follow-ups
• Prescribe and monitor medications, including medication-assisted treatments
• Help clients achieve improved symptom management, stronger coping skills, and enhanced daily functioning
• Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, whole-person care
• Document all clinical encounters accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record (EMR) system

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with completion of a psychiatric residency
• Active Missouri medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
• Board Certification in Psychiatry preferred; Board-Eligible candidates will be considered
• Willingness to provide collaborative practice oversight for APRNs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a recovery-focused, patient-centered approach
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and G-Suite

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with completion of a psychiatric residency

Nice to Have

• Fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
• Five (5)+ years of clinical experience working with children and adolescents
• Background in treating severe and persistent mental illness in pediatric populations
