Charge Nurse - LVN or RN

About This Role

Lead and manage the nursing care team as a Charge Nurse, ensuring high-quality resident well-being through direct supervision, medication administration, and care plan implementation.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to Nurse Aides to ensure appropriate care for residents
• Properly and safely administer resident medications as prescribed
• Execute resident care plans in compliance with company policies, federal guidelines, and physician orders
• Deliver treatments as required to ensure resident health and comfort
• Accurately and promptly transcribe physician orders
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in resident charts and complete required nursing assessments
• Participate in shift reports to ensure seamless communication and care continuity
• Implement nursing policies and procedures, educating staff on the care needs of residents
• Promote a safe working environment by complying with infection control and body mechanic procedures
• Respond to staffing shortages by arranging for replacement staff as necessary

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in good standing
• Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to organize workflows effectively
• Ability to respond efficiently to emergencies
• Attention to detail
