CFO - Chemical Distribution

About This Role

This Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role involves leading the financial strategy for a global chemical distribution organization amidst significant expansion. The CFO will oversee financial operations, drive capital-raising and M&A activities, and partner with the CEO and Board on growth and governance.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior financial leader, overseeing financial planning, analysis, reporting, treasury, and risk management across the organization
• Lead capital-raising initiatives, including equity, debt, and alternative financing, and manage relationships with investors and financial partners
• Drive M&A strategy and execution, including deal sourcing, valuation, financial modeling, diligence oversight, synergy analysis, transaction structuring, and post-merger integration planning
• Partner with executive leadership to evaluate and execute inorganic growth opportunities that enhance scale, geographic reach, and margin expansion
• Design and manage sophisticated equity and stock-based compensation structures, including capitalization tables, dilution planning, and incentive frameworks for future executive leadership roles
• Oversee global financial operations, including international subsidiaries, cross-border planning, and regulatory compliance
• Provide leadership on taxation strategy, with emphasis on U.S. operations; familiarity with Dubai or Middle East tax frameworks is a strong plus
• Partner closely with the CEO and Board on corporate strategy, governance, and long-range financial planning
• Ensure strong internal controls, financial transparency, and reporting standards aligned with a high-growth, global distribution business
• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing global finance team

Requirements

• Prior CFO or senior finance leadership experience within the chemical distribution, specialty chemicals industry
• Demonstrated success raising capital across multiple stages of company growth
• Significant hands-on M&A experience, including deal origination, diligence, synergy modeling, and transaction execution
• Experience managing global operations and complex international financial structures
• Strong knowledge of U.S. taxation
• Deep expertise in equity structures, capitalization management, and executive equity planning
• Strong strategic finance, forecasting, and enterprise value creation background
• Executive-level presence with the ability to influence Boards and senior leadership teams
