About This Role

This role involves assisting physicians and nurses in orthopaedic cases, ensuring a safe and sterile operating room environment, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide seamless patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses in outpatient orthopaedic surgery procedures
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment in the operating room
• Prepare the OR for the arrival of surgical patients
• Assemble equipment, supplies, and instruments for surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
• Assist with the preparation and maintenance of the operating room
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with team members, supervisors, and physicians
• Handle high-stress environments and be adaptable to change

Requirements

• Current certification to practice in the state of Iowa
• Ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to handle high stress environments and be adaptable to change
• Ability to work Monday through Friday schedule
• Ability to be on feet for extended periods of time

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in orthopaedics or an ASC is preferred, but not required.
