This role supports clinical and diagnostic services at a small, growing laboratory in South Florida, focusing on professional and patient-focused specimen collection and laboratory operations.
Responsibilities
- Collect specimens including blood draws, drug screens, biometric screenings, and insurance exams
- Administer oral solutions in accordance with training and protocols
- Verify test and client information using laboratory systems
- Accurately enter patient, billing, and test data using computer systems and lab technology platforms
- Obtain patient identification, enter billing details, and collect payments when required
- Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport
- Maintain accurate phlebotomy, temperature, and equipment maintenance logs
- Perform non-patient-facing duties such as inventory management, stock control, and sanitizing work areas
- Follow all departmental policies, protocols, and procedures to ensure quality and compliance
- Assist with compiling and submitting basic statistics and operational data
- Complete required online and in-person training in a timely manner
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Phlebotomist
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Technician training program
- National certification (ASCP PBT, NHA CPT, or AMT RPT)
- Documented clinical training (venipuncture + capillary collection)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Technician training program
- Previous experience as a Phlebotomist
