Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)

About This Role

As a Certified Nurse Aide, you will provide physical and emotional support and assistance to residents in a skilled nursing facility, ensuring outstanding patient care and compliance with all standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Make frequent resident rounds to check physical comfort, safety, and cleanliness
• Maintain compliance with Buckner policies and procedures, and all regulatory requirements
• Assist with the appropriate implementation of the prescribed health care plan
• Provide excellent, safe services in care and treatment including bathing, feeding, oral care, dressing, hair/nail care, and moving residents
• Provide broad range of cleaning/sanitary services including emptying/cleaning urinals, commodes, bedpans, showers, and wheelchairs
• Accurately and timely document Activities for Daily Living (ADLs), intakes and outputs, and other appropriate information on charts

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Texas Nurse Aide Certification
• Minimum one-year related experience
• Ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or 20 pounds continuously to move and assist residents
• Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; ability to turn, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, stand and walk over 75% of shift

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum one-year related experience
