This role is for a highly motivated Cell Line Development Scientist focusing on advancing next-generation gene editing technologies within a fast-paced bioproduction environment. The scientist will develop engineered CHO cell lines and optimize upstream processes, contributing with minimal onboard training.
Responsibilities
- Execute CHO cell culture processes across shake flasks, spin tubes, and deep-well plate fed-batch formats
- Perform transfection, selection, clone screening, and single-cell cloning workflows
- Support upstream development with high attention to process consistency and data integrity
- Run titer and basic downstream quality assays to assess productivity and cell line performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally to implement advanced gene editing technologies in CLD
- Contribute to workflow design, documentation, and continuous process improvement
- Maintain a culture of excellence, accountability, and meeting or exceeding timelines
Requirements
- MS in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or related field
- 1-2 years experience in cell line development
- Proficiency in Molecular Biology and vector design
- Proficiency in CHO cell culture
- Proficiency in Transfection & selection workflows
- Proficiency in Shake flask, spin tube, and deep-well plate fed-batch processes
- Proficiency in Single-cell cloning
- Proficiency in Titer determination and standard downstream quality assessments
Qualifications
- MS in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or related field required, PhD preferred
- 1-2 years experience in cell line development
