CDL Fuel Driver

About This Role

Safely operate and maintain a fuel delivery truck to transport and deliver various types of fuel to client locations, ensuring efficient routes and adherence to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain a fuel delivery truck to transport and deliver fuel to various client locations
• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet customer demands and delivery schedules
• Load and unload bulk fuel using appropriate equipment and follow established safety protocols
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the proper functioning of the delivery vehicle
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery records, including quantities delivered, locations, and customer signatures
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally during delivery stops
• Collaborate with the logistics team to coordinate delivery schedules and optimize routes for efficiency
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials
• Report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly and work with the maintenance team to ensure timely repairs
• Maintain a clean and organized delivery truck, ensuring it is stocked with necessary supplies and equipment

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of verifiable driving experience
• Minimum 3 years tanker experience
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
• Clean background with no felonies
• Familiarity with DOT regulations
• Operating and reliable cell phone (Dispatch and GPS coordinates)
• Class A or B CDL w/ hazmat & tanker endorsements

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• Minimum 5 years of verifiable driving experience and minimum 3 years tanker experience

Nice to Have

• Availability to travel for disaster response
