CDL Driver - Night Transfer

About This Role

Transport replenishment stock to the Branch Store Network throughout the Tri-State area as a Night Transfer CDL Driver. Operate Class 6, 7 & 8 Trucks/Tractors and handle loading/unloading cargo with a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Conform to all DOT regulatory compliance issues including ELD Hours of Service Reports, Driver Log & Manifesting Reports, and Vehicle Pre/Post Inspection Reports
• Maintain CDL Class A license with Air Break and Hazmat endorsements
• Adhere to all Local, State and Federal highway traffic laws
• Perform minor maintenance on the vehicle if needed to complete the route
• Adhere to daily dispatched routing schedules
• Operate a vehicle proficiently in adverse traffic and weather patterns
• Load and unload vehicles at all times
• Protect loads at all times and minimize damages utilizing load bars and strapping devices

Requirements

• Ability to read and write in English
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. without assistance
• Ability to operate Class 6, 7 & 8 trucks
• Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack
• Good team spirit and ability to work in coordination with colleagues
• Ability to read & interpret Road maps and follow GPS directional devices and onboard ELD devices

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent trade school certification
• 2-3 years previous driving experience and forklift experience
