Execute full truckload and multi-stop deliveries and collections daily using Class 8 equipment while establishing strong partnerships with customers and internal teams. This role will also contribute to asset recovery efforts and program expansion.
Responsibilities
- Operate CHEP tractor/trailer equipment in compliance with DOT regulations and CHEP safety standards
- Perform deliveries and collections of empty pallets and other assets at designated locations efficiently
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain equipment, and report any physical damage or required repairs
- Collaborate with local customers to ensure program compliance and drive collection volume growth
- Accurately document delivery and collection data (times, mileage, volumes, customer feedback) and share with CHEP LVR support
- Visit potential collection sites to explain the CHEP LVR Program and expand the customer base
- Visit and engage non-participating distributors, pallet recyclers, and other locations to recover CHEP assets
- Monitor and track the flow of CHEP assets within the assigned territory
- Take responsibility for identifying and tracking non-participating distributor transfers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with non-participating distributors and local pallet recyclers
Requirements
- Valid Class A DOT Driver License
- Minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card without restrictions
- Ability to hook/unhook trailers and lift up to 65 lbs.
- Strong route optimization and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently and building customer relationships
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and routing management software
- Multi-stop driving and route management
- DOT & Safety compliance ownership
- Customer service and relationship building
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite and routing apps
