This position is responsible for operating vehicles with a Class A-CDL license to transport and deliver products, as well as performing various warehouse duties such as inspecting and processing merchandise.
Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A-CDL manual transmission vehicle for product transport and delivery
- Inspect product for transport to various showrooms
- Ensure merchandise is accurate and free of damage, reporting quality variances
- Operate a handheld scanner to process merchandise
- Operate and maintain equipment in a clean manner that promotes safety and complies with OSHA and MSDS standards
- Offload incoming merchandise and load outgoing merchandise
- Operate and maintain various company vehicles including service vans, 26 Straight trucks, 53 ft manual tractor trailers, and/or demountable rail trailer systems
- Assist customers with pick-ups when necessary
- Run special same day deliveries and/or accompany a delivery route when necessary
- Perform general warehouse duties as assigned
Requirements
- Possess a Class A- CDL license with no "E" restriction
- Ability to operate a manual transmission
- Maintain CDL license for the duration of employment
