Cashier/Runner

About This Role

Serve as a key member of the hospitality team, primarily focusing on greeting guests, accurately processing orders at the Point of Sale, and delivering food to tables to ensure an outstanding dining experience at Torchy's Tacos.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, ask questions to understand their needs, and offer suggestions at the Point of Sale, ensuring fast and accurate transactions
• Deliver outstanding hospitality, making each guest feel welcomed and valued
• Learn the menu and maintain knowledge of current promotions to make personalized recommendations
• Run food to tables, ensuring correct and speedy delivery of orders
• Proactively offer refills on chips and drinks and identify opportunities to exceed guests' expectations
• Ensure all guest-facing areas of the restaurant are neat, clean, organized, and inviting
• Work collaboratively with managers, kitchen staff, and the Hospitality Team to resolve problems and ensure smooth service

Requirements

• Strong verbal communication skills
• Availability to work a flexible schedule
• Must meet state and local requirements for Food Handler’s and Alcohol Server certifications

Nice to Have

• 2 years of work experience providing customer service in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail industry
• 2 years of experience using POS (point-of-sale) systems
