Cashier

About This Role

As a Cashier at Shop N Save within St. Barnabas Health System, you will accurately handle customer payments, operate front-end equipment, and maintain clean checkout areas. You will play an essential role in providing a positive shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

• Accurately handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and change
• Assist customers at checkout and bag groceries
• Operate front-end equipment including register, calculator, and scanner
• Ensure that checkout areas are properly maintained in a clean and orderly condition

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers
• Ability to read, count, and write, and accurately complete all documentation
• Basic math skills
• Ability to lift up to approximately 50 pounds occasionally and 20 lbs frequently
• Ability to perform movements such as walking, standing, bending, and stooping repeatedly for sustained periods
