This Cashier role involves performing cash transactions, managing cash drawers, and handling sales accurately. You will also maintain sanitation standards and assist with general food service duties in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform sales transactions in a timely fashion
- Enter all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded
- Make change, accept declining balance cards and other acceptable forms of payment; issue receipts to customers
- Follow standard procedures for issuing cash refunds
- Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts ensuring that cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards
- Observe customer purchases in the cafe line and differentiate between standard portions
- Replenish condiments, coffee, other beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas
- Keep pastry case stocked
- Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures
- Ensure compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements
Qualifications
- Some related experience preferred, though not required. Will train for the position.
