Cashier

About This Role

This role involves performing cashiering duties at LSU Athletics, including handling cash transactions, maintaining cash drawers, and assisting with food service operations. The cashier will ensure accurate sales recording and maintain sanitation standards in dining facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform sales transactions in a timely fashion
• Enter all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded
• Make change, accept declining balance cards and other acceptable forms of payment; issue receipts to customers
• Follow standard procedures for issuing cash refunds
• Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
• Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts ensuring that cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards
• Observe customer purchases in the cafe line and differentiate between standard portions
• Replenish condiments, coffee, other beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas
• Keep pastry case stocked
• Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures
• Ensure compliance with all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements

Requirements

• 1-2 Years of cashier experience
