About This Role

Process member purchases, verify and renew memberships, and provide excellent customer service in a courteous and efficient manner, while maintaining cleanliness of the front-line department.

Responsibilities

• Process Member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner
• Verify, renew, upgrade, and offer various membership products
• Scan merchandise and accept various forms of payments
• Provide excellent member service in an efficient and productive manner
• Maintain the overall cleanliness of the front-line department
• Understand BJ’s Membership options and the importance of renewals and upgrades
• Offer appropriate membership products such as renewal, EASY renewal, loyalty programs, and rewards redemption
• Check Members out in a timely and efficient manner using a point-of-sale system
• Collect payments via cash, check, or other charge payments
• Issue receipts or change due to Members
• Stay up to date on merchandise promotions, advertisements, and product information
• Discount purchases by scanning and redeeming coupons
• Manage self-checkout and scan and pan lanes, assisting Members with operations and technical difficulties
• Meet cashier productivity expectations
• Maintain all club policies and procedures

Nice to Have

• Basic math skills
• Prior cashier or sales experience
