Cashier

About This Role

This role involves performing cashier duties, managing transactions, restocking merchandise, and providing customer service in a hospital gift shop setting. The cashier is responsible for accurately balancing the cash register and maintaining store operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform cashier duties and handle all paperwork for accounting
• Conduct over-the-counter sales of merchandise
• Restock shelves, unpack shipments, and prepare orders for shipment
• Create balloon bouquets and wrap packages
• Balance cash register at the end of each shift and report shortages immediately
• Maintain store operations in the absence of the manager
• Take phone orders from customers

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
• Moderate to advanced computer and data entry skills
